How You Can Help

In September 1998, the Board of Directors of the Thurgood Marshall Center (TMC) joined many friends on the front steps of the facility for the long awaited ceremonial Ground Breaking that kicked off the renovation of this building. Through the dedication of many committed people from the Shaw Heritage Trust, FLOC and the community, more than $4 million has been raised to support the project.

TMC is approximately $2 million away from completion of this national historic landmark. Our primary goal is to provide a window of hope to support the community as it strives to protect children, prepare youth and strengthen families that are at risk and build a strong, productive, caring and cohesive community that will thrive in the future! In addition, the facility will house the history and heritage of African American people locally and nationally and provide a vehicle to share that history globally.

With only $2 million away from our goal, we need financial support from corporations, foundations, businesses, individuals and everyone who is able to make a contribution. Sponsorships, naming opportunities and underwriting range from $5,000 to $500,000.

Invest today and help us make the difference!

Please print and fill out the contribution form and mail it today to:
